Li Xiaojuan, Extrusion Worker at Henan Mine Crane Cable Workshop
2025-04-25
Introduction
At a crucial juncture in the company's comprehensive industry chain strategy, there is a female worker in the cable workshop who uses her focus and craftsmanship to safeguard the "first checkpoint" of cable production. As the "threader" in the extrusion process, she weaves the intricate network of the cable core with her hands. Every meter of precisely formed cable core lays a solid foundation for quality in subsequent stranding, cabling, and other processes.

Strict control over the first process reveals the true quality down to the millimeter.

The extrusion process is the "starting line" of cable production; the precision of the cable core manufacturing directly determines the cable's quality, performance, and service life. Li Xiaojuan understands this well, and for over 10 years she has been working on the front lines, demonstrating "millimeter-level" precision in front of the extrusion machine. To ensure the insulation layer and conductor adhere optimally, her first task is to repeatedly adjust the mold temperature, screw speed, and traction speed. Even a temperature difference of 0.1℃ or a speed deviation of 0.5 rpm cannot escape her keen eye. "The first process is like laying the foundation for a house; if the foundation is crooked, even the best house is a dangerous one," Li Xiaojuan often says.
Producing 100,000 meters a day, with zero defects after 270,000 repeated tests.

In Li Xiaojuan's work log, one set of numbers stands out: 100,000 meters of cable core produced in a single day. After 270,000 repeated tests over a year on the company's cable chain and cable life testing bench, both the cable chain and cable showed no quality defects. To achieve such stringent standards, she pioneered the "three checks and three observations" work method—checking raw material moisture, equipment parameters, and mold wear before starting the machine; and observing the uniformity of cable core color, insulation thickness fluctuations, and traction speed stability during production. It is precisely her strict self-discipline and rigorous quality control over the past decade that has made the company's cable products a "quality benchmark" in the industry.
From "craft inheritance" to "technological innovation," let craftsmanship shine in innovation.

As a veteran worker in the workshop, Li Xiaojuan not only excels in her job but also passes on her skills to younger generations. She leads the "Extrusion Task Force," regularly conducting on-the-job training that combines theory and practice, while ensuring both quality and safety. During the company's "Intelligent Cable Full Industry Chain Upgrade," she took the lead, collaborating on research into the applicability of new polymer insulation materials in the extrusion process, contributing to improvements in product quality and processes. "Craftsmanship isn't about clinging to the old ways, but about using new methods to perfect traditional techniques," she says, her determined gaze shining with innovative brilliance.
Day after day, through spring, autumn, summer, and winter, the roar of the extruder is like a symphony, as Li Xiaojuan traces the rings of a craftsman's life in the flowing arcs of the cable core. Every meter of cable core in her hands is an annotation of "quality is life"; every contribution she makes is a steadfast commitment to "intelligent manufacturing from Kuangyuan". In the small space of the cable workshop, she uses her skillful "threading the needle" to embroider a long scroll of craftsmanship from the Mine Crane employees.
