Recently, the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Lifting Machinery convened its first working meeting in 2026 at Henan Mine Crane Co., Ltd. to discuss the revision of GB/T3811-2008 "Design Specification for Cranes". The revision data will reference the comprehensive performance (lifespan) laboratory data of cranes from Henan Mine Crane Co., Ltd., and will be used to revise relevant specifications and standards. This revision of the national standard is not only a concrete measure to implement the "National Standardization Development Outline" but also a key practice to promote the intelligent, green, and high-end transformation of the lifting machinery industry, which will undoubtedly lay a solid foundation for improving and upgrading industry standards.

Cui Peijun stated that GB/T3811, as a fundamental and guiding national standard in the field of crane design, is directly related to improving the quality of crane products, ensuring user safety, and, more importantly, the standardization and sustainable development of the entire crane machinery industry. He suggested that industry experts conduct more in-depth technical guidance and standard dissemination training in enterprises to share their expertise and empower the high-quality development of China's crane industry.

During the meeting, participating experts conducted in-depth discussions on key issues such as establishing a framework for standard revision, upgrading core technical indicators, optimizing and adapting safety specifications, and aligning with international standards. They clarified the key optimization directions and phased work progress for the standard revision, and reviewed and unanimously approved the meeting minutes. The successful convening of this meeting has consolidated industry wisdom, broken down barriers to collaboration between industry, academia, and research, and further solidified the foundation for the revision of the "Crane Design Code."
