A great journey, reflecting the original aspiration

As the smoke of war dissipates, the spirit endures; the Milky Way is silent, yet faith remains eternal. To celebrate the 104th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the 80th anniversary of the victory of the War of Resistance, the Party Committee of Henan Mine Crane organised theme party (mass) day activities. Party members, members of the Communist Youth League, women's federation members, and trade union members from the company visited the Pingxingguan Victory Memorial Hall and the Red Flag Canal Memorial Hall in groups, learning about the spirit of resistance and the spirit of the Red Flag Canal, drawing strength for progress through the observations.

Pingxingguan: Paying Tribute to the Monument of Spirit

Walking into the Pingxingguan Victory Memorial Hall, the yellowed battle maps and rusted guns and ammunition silently tell of the great victory in 1937 that shattered the myth of the 'invincible Japanese army.' 'Looking at the items left behind by the soldiers in the display cases, imagining their valiant resistance against the invaders with their flesh and blood, I am filled with admiration and emotion.' Everyone expressed their deep feelings!

  





Red Flag Canal: A Tribute to the Epic of Struggle



At the Red Flag Canal, everything is equally awe-inspiring. In the Red Flag Canal Memorial Hall, steel chisels and hammers covered in cracks, along with visual materials documenting the arduous years, transport visitors back to the magnificent history of "splitting the Taihang Mountains and allowing the Zhang River to flow through." Following the winding path of the Red Flag Canal, in front of the 'Youth Cave,' the heroic feat of 300 young pioneers carving a 600-metre tunnel in the cliff with their own flesh and blood excites everyone even more.

Visiting Pingxingguan and retracing the Red Flag Canal is not only a red-themed journey but also a spiritual baptism. All the mining staff will transform the strength drawn from history into the drive for innovative breakthroughs and the craftsmanship to create quality products. They will engage in their work with even greater enthusiasm and high spirits, paying tribute to history and honouring the martyrs through practical achievements, allowing the spirit of the War of Resistance and the Red Flag Canal to shine even more brilliantly in the new era!
